UPCOMING MEDICAL COURSES

Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC)

Medical training, courses and casualty simulation

Mavens is a leading provider of emergency medical training, casualty simulation services and quality emergency medical equipment. We have been instructing bleeding control and tactical medicine for more than 15 years.

Realistic medical training is key to perform well when it's needed.

We provide training worldwide for law enforcement, military, EMS, NGOs and other civilian clients.

Casualty simulation

Casualty simulation is more than moulage (medical make up, extremely simlified). Casualty simulation is the whole package of setting up successful medical training scenarios. It also includes designing and setting up scenarios, creating realistic casualties and how they should be played to best fill their role in the scenario and much more. Casualty simulation is not cinematic special effects. You can have the most perfectly blended appliance that looks extremely realistic in photograps, but if the intention of the scenario is to train wound packing, you have to be able to pack the simulated injury. We make good use of bleeding simulators and other advanced casualty simulation equipment to make our casualty simulation as realistic as possible.

Operative Medical Training (OMT)

The Operative Medical Training concept is designed to build upon the customers’ existing medical program. Students follow their normal procedures, while we through training and feedback improve and streamline their performance within the current framework. This training offers maximum skill improvement and efficiency while reducing friction and confusion from changing algorithms or strategies. OMT require more adaptability, flexibility and skill from our instructors, but is really what has made the OMT concept so well received by our customers.

Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC)

The TECC guidelines are a set of best practice recommendations for casualty management during high threat civilian tactical and rescue operations. Based upon the principles of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), TECC guidelines account for differences in the civilian environment, resources allocation, patient population, and scope of practice.

Adverse Condition Training (ACT)

WET: Emergency medical interventions in a coastal and maritime enviroment. COLD: trauma management in winter conditions. Heavy focus on hypothermia prevention. CONFINED: Life saving interventions in small, awkward or otherwise inaccessible locations. HOT: Hot desert enviroment.
